Lee Keegan tweets apology to Galway people for Man of the Match mistake

"Apologies Galway people, ye have a serious team."

Lee Keegan has taken to Twitter to issue an apology to Galway people for making a mistake when selecting the RTE Man of the Match. Ciarain Murtagh was given the award, and it's hard to begrudge him because he had a fantastic game. particularly in the second half. Murtagh scored the crucial goal that took Roscommon into the lead and rounding up an incredible comeback, putting Galway firmly on the back foot. People should know better than to write off the Rossies but at half time you would have been tempted to do so given Galway's dominant performance. The Tribesmen then had to find a way back, and they did so through Damien Comer who caught a ball that rebounded off the post and buried it. Comer scored 1-4 in the match, and Sean Cavanagh wanted to award him with the Man of the Match, but Keegan had made the call already to give it to Murtagh. After the game Keegan tweeted that he had made a mistake with his selection. "MOTM was selected at a certain stage second half, 2 most prominently figures, Comer/Murtagh Comer made a block & scored 4th point & in fact should have been selected for MOTM.
