Kerry could lose one of their most promising young talents to a move down under following reported interest from the AFL.
The Kingdom were beaten in the All-Ireland Senior Football semi-final against Armagh and faced critics for their poor attacking show - despite an embarrassment of riches in the forward department.
They could be down one key man for their 2025 panel too, after reports suggested that Cillian Burke is on his way to Australia.
Any decision on Burke isn't set in stone after various reports provided different answers on where Burke's future would lie.
According to the Irish Examiner, Geelong have offered a two-year contract to the 22-year-old, where he could link up with fellow Kerry native Mark O'Connor as well as Mayo's Oisin Mullin.
However today's Kerryman has claimed that while Burke is set to go to Australia, it is only for travelling purposes and not to join an AFL side.
Even though he would miss the start of Kerry's 2025 campaign, Burke is reportedly expected to return in May and the Milltown man will still play a big role in Jack O'Connor's side.
The Sun have also reported that Burke has opted against a move to Aussie Rules at this point.
Burke was one of Kerry's standout players on the panel this season and the hope is that he will be able to play a significant role in any future success they have going forward.
