Massive news from the world of GAA this weekend, and one that could be a major blow to the Dubs.
Jim Gavin has made the decision to step down as Dublin senior football manager.
A statement issued by Dublin GAA on Saturday morning said that Gavin "was handing back the reins of the Dublin Senior Football team to the County Committee."
It also said that a process of considering his successor would begin shortly.
Gavin leaves the Dubs having won six all-Ireland championships as the team's manager.
One of Gavin's finest achievements came this summer, guiding the boys in blue to their fifth successive All-Ireland title, beating fierce rivals Kerry after a replay.
Dublin chairman Sean Shanley said that "Dublin GAA will be forever grateful to Jim Gavin for his dedication, commitment and contribution as a player and, since 2003, leading the next generation of players at U21 and Senior level.
"I regret his departure but appreciate the huge sacrifices he has made over this period.
"The committee will commence the process of considering suitable candidates to replace Jim and his management team shortly."

He was recently in charge of St Brigid’s, but stepped down after the All-Ireland […]
