Last week, we saw some hurling goalkeepers try to be sneaky by using the hurl to stop the sliothar going over the bar for certain points in the Cork-Waterford Munster hurling semi-final. Well, last night, St Bronaghs Rostrevor didn't need their goalkeeper whip out a hurl to stop an O'Neills floating over the black spot. That's because they had human accordion Johnny Parr stretch every single sinew in his body to stop this point attempt by Clan na Banna. https://twitter.com/RostrevorGAA/status/609487226360229889 The game ended 1-15 to 1-5 but without Jonny's intervention it easily could have been 1-6. Who knows how crucial that intervention may prove later in the season when the point difference is sorted out?
