Forde has been a real force for Tipp and he will be sorely missed when Michael Ryan's men take on Kilkenny in the league this Sunday at Nowlan Park. Forde is one of four, alongside McGrath, Barry Heffernan and Paul Maher, who won't feature against the Cats due to Fitzgibbon Cup duties, with UL taking on DCU in the final on Saturday.
But Tipp's loss is UL's gain and, considering his recent form, we're fully expecting Forde to play a prominent role in the Fitzgibbon final in Mallow.
