The quarter-finals are so close yet so far for these teams.

In the football, Meath just about overcame Sligo, Mayo just about overcame Derry, Donegal sort of just about overcame Longford and Clare comfortably beat Laois and now they will face each other after the round 3A qualifier draw took place. Fixtures will take place next Saturday, 8 July with venues and times to be confirmed.

Round 3A Qualifier draw

Meath vs. Donegal Clare vs. Mayo In the hurling, Tipperary did not impress against Westmeath but are still in the competition, Dublin beat Laois, Kilkenny beat Limerick and Waterford comfortably beat Offaly.

Round 2 Qualifier draw

Dublin vs. Tipperary Waterford vs. Kilkenny
