Great acts of sportsmanship between Galway and Tipperary after phenomenal semi-final battle

Unfortunately, there could have only been one winner from Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final hurling clash between Galway and Tipperary.

Tipperary's valiant effort, particularly from man-of-the-match Seamus Callanan, wasn't enough to beat the Tribesmen in Croke Park. Galway fought back after a strong start from the Premier County and ran out narrow 0-26 to 3-16 winners to book an All-Ireland final showdown with Kilkenny. The almost fairytale ending for Noel McGrath, who scored a late point after returning to the panel following his cancer diagnosis earlier this year, only made it a tougher loss to take for Tipperary. Instead, debutant Shane Moloney fired over the game-winning point just moments after entering the match. When the ref blew the final whistle, Galway's elated reaction served as the perfect antithesis to Tipp's dejection. However, Galway showed real class after the game by calling their celebrations to a halt to console their hurting opponents.
