Glenn Ryan’s post-match interview about referee could get him in trouble

Kildare manager Glenn Ryan could find himself in hot water following his post match comments about referee Jerome Henry following his side's defeat to Monaghan. Kildare are now out of the championship as the Ulster side managed to win the match by a single point, and book their place in the quarter final stages. In a thrilling finish to the game there were some questionable decisions that have irked Ryan who believes that David Gough should have been the man in the middle. One instance in particular stands out as the game stretched over the allotted injury time, Sean Jones caught a pass, called for a mark, which the referee didn't award, but the player in question then played on despite arguably over carrying it. The play then continued and ended with a vital score from Monaghan's Conor McCarthy, who had also scored the only goal of the game.

"I can't understand in a big game like that, having a top class official like David Gough doing the line, who was equally scratching his head on the line with me on occasions.
