A Tribe called Yes.

It is not the day to be a fan of Ireland (football and rugby), Rory McIlroy and Mayo GAA. Despite going in 0-9 to 0-7 at the break, The Tribesmen dumped Mayo out of the Connacht Senior Football Championship. A superb Thomas Flynn goal was followed soon after by a Paul Conroy point to make it 1-12 to 0-11 with only minutes to spare. Mayo knocked over a late free, moments after Flynn was black-carded, but they could not find the equalising goal. Stephen Rochford's men were left to regret going 20 minutes without a score - 50 to 70th minutes - and they are now banished to the qualifiers. Given Galway's recent championship slumber, and Mayo's Connacht dominance, the result was celebrated and lamented in equal measure.
