Galway forward sent off for kicking opponent in the groin

Galway forward Cian Salmon received a red card for kicking his opponent in his side's All-Ireland semi-final loss to Tipperary on Wednesday.

Salmon was dismissed in the 63rd minute of the match for striking his marker in the groin while he was down on the ground. Jack Canning pulled a goal back for Galway in the second-half but it was ultimately in vein as Tipp once again punished Salmon's dismissal with another goal as Ger Browne fired the ball home to send his side through to the All-Ireland final where they will face Cork later this month.
