GAA Summer is here and we are ranking all the county jerseys

Rain, hail, shine or rain (again), it's Championship Summer and the jerseys are coming out.

Galway and New York kicked off the Senior Football Championship on the same weekend that Antrim's hurlers overcame the Laois in Ballycastle. This weekend sees the SFC and SHCs ramping up a gear, with six games scheduled for action. Here are our favourite GAA jerseys starting, unfortunately, with these lads... 35. London Christy Ring Cup Round 1 Replay, Bewbridge, Co. Kildare 9/5/2015 Kildare vs London Niall O'Muineachain of Kildare with Michael Ivors of London Mandatory Credit ©INPHO/Donall Farmer A throw-back to the 1990s, a dated crest and a sponsor's logo that is hard to read unless you are two yards away. 34. Louth Bord na Mona O'Byrne Cup Round 1 4/1/2015 Kildare vs Louth Louth's Hugh McGinn Mandatory Credit ©INPHO/Morgan Treacy A drab effort from the Wee County and collars that look extremely shoddy. 33. Warwickshire Lory Meagher Cup Final, Croke Park, Dublin 8/6/2013 Longford vs Warwickshire Warwickshire's Enda Lyons celebrates scoring the first goal of the game Mandatory Credit ©INPHO/Ryan Byrne Plain enough effort from the English hurling outfit. Another dated crest. Harmless enough. Flouncy sleeves. 32. Limerick Donal O'Grady 11/5/2015 Thrown together in about six seconds, by the looks of it. Only pizazz comes from the green and white dash. Rudimentary. 31. Laois Charles Dwyer in action against Paul Shiels 3/5/2015 Passable but equally forgettable. 30. Wexford Allianz Hurling League Division 1 Quarter-Final, Pairc Ui Rinn, Cork 29/3/2015 Cork vs Wexford WexfordÕs Lee Chin reacts after Cork were awarded a free Mandatory Credit ©INPHO/James Crombie Pretty much tied into the iconic colours but fairly slapdash. Gain Feeds will be delighted with the flaming logo. Stands out. 29. Wicklow Darren Hayden 11/1/2015 A regular, average GAA jersey. 28. Longford Kevin Diffley 25/4/2015 See above. 27. Clare Colm Galvin and Tony Kelly 29/3/2015 If it ain't exactly broke, don't exactly fix it. Inoffensive. 26. Cork 2015 Allianz Hurling League Preview, Croke Park, Dublin 27/4/2015 Cork's Lorcan McLoughlin Mandatory Credit ©INPHO/Morgan Treacy Big, brave logo but a middling design. 25. Fermanagh Daniel Kille 25/4/2015 Kind of like the county, at present. Nice effort but falls short. 24. Kilkenny John Power and Cian Dillon 22/3/2015 Unmistakeable but unspectacular. Predominantly black sleeves an improvement. Got milk? 23. Dublin Allianz Football League Division 1 Semi-Final 12/4/2015 Dublin Ciaran Kilkenny Mandatory Credit ©INPHO/Cathal Noonan Clean, decent but lacking the oomph of previous jerseys. 22. Carlow Carlow Always the potential to get it garishly wrong but not so here. The 2015 jersey is streets ahead of last year's throw-back. 21. Westmeath Allianz Football League Division 2, Pairc Tailteann, Co. Meath 7/3/2015 Meath vs Westmeath Westmeath's Kieran Martin reacts to a missed chance Mandatory Credit ©INPHO/Ryan Byrne Won't be missing the sponsor here. Nice and snug with some more design slashes. 20. Cavan James McEnroe and Sean Denvir 15/3/2015 The new collar bumps it up the list. Not the belle of the ball but you wouldn't kick it out of the bed for rabbiting on about building materials. 19. Monaghan Dermot Malone 12/4/2015 A princely effort from the Farney County. 18. Waterford Kevin Moran celebrates at the final whistle 3/5/2015 Very similar to the O'Neills/Monaghan effort but a slicker Azzuri design. 17. Armagh Allianz Football League Division 3 Final 25/4/2015 Armagh Aidan Forker Mandatory Credit ©INPHO/Cathal Noonan Show us yer muscles. Geezer would probably prefer sleeveless numbers but this ain't far off. 16. Antrim Neill McManus celebrates winning 3/5/2015 The white splash, encompassing number, maker, 'GAA' and crest, works well and lets the Saffron do the talking. 15. Kildare Eanna Ó Néill 23/4/2015 Brazen sponsors logo jinks up up the leaderboard as does the clutch to all-white beliefs. 14. Kerry Kerry jersey Not messing too much with the classic design. Everyone will know who they are when they step on the field. 13. Galway Galway Plain enough but the colour and the suggestion of tasty, tempting fare sees it sitting just outside the top 10. 12. Meath Meath Similar to the Galwegians but the appearance of Mr Tayto himself edges the Royal County ahead. 11. Tipperary Paddy Stapleton 19/4/2015 Tipp truly in the 21st century with this frequency-inspired design. 10. Tyrone Jonny Cooper and Barry Tierney 7/3/2015 Clean, effective, no messing. Tyrone rarely disappoint. 9. Derry James Kielt and Ronan McNabb 28/2/2015 They have a primarily white jersey but we prefer the change strip. If we ever need specialist joinery done... 8. New York Man of the Match Colm Maginn is presented with the trophy 3/5/2015 Bright and bold. Nice jersey from the New Yawkers. Shame they've already been beaten by Galway. Off to the Back Door. 7. Roscommon Cathal Cregg and Ciaran Cafferky celebrate 26/4/2015 The thin stripes, round colours and nice accented blues - melding well with the logo - sees the Rossies sitting pretty. 6. Offaly Nigel Dunne celebrates scoring a goal 25/4/2015 For so many years, Offaly jerseys were boring. This is a nice twist on the familiar colours. 5. Leitrim Leitrim For some reason, we have been intoxicated by this low murmur of a design. Perhaps it is the yellow, Dali-esque splodge. 4. Mayo 2015 Connacht GAA Football Championship Launch, Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence, Bekan, Claremorris, Co. Mayo 7/5/2015 Mayo captain Keith Higgins Mandatory Credit ©INPHO/James Crombie Like Offaly, Mayo have taken the usual offerings and added some nice design flourishes. 3. Sligo Mark Breheny 7/5/2015 You may spot a trend at this stage. Simple and clean. Kukri have done well. We have a weakness for predominantly black jerseys. 2. Down 2015 Allianz Football League Division 1 & 2 Finals Preview, Croke Park, Dublin 20/4/2015 Donal OÕHare of Down Mandatory Credit ©INPHO/Ryan Byrne Down have produced the good all year and have done well again. Typically Ulster sleeve-length but the distinctive colours invariably lend to a gem. 1. Donegal Ulster GAA Football Senior Championship Preliminary Round, Ballybofey, Donegal 17/5/2015 Donegal vs Tyrone Donegal's Michael Murphy and Neil McGee with Justin McMahon of Tyrone Mandatory Credit ©INPHO/Cathal Noonan Michael Murphy's facial expression is just one of the many things that have drawn us to this picture but it is the jersey that stands out. Lovely collar, clean design. Good logo incorporation. Hard to pick a flaw. Let us know what you think of our rankings @SportsJOEdotie
