Rory Beggan and Kieran Hughes were Scotstown's heroes in their win over Kilcoo.

Beggan kicked 0-3, a 6o yarder from open play and two pressure frees included as the Monaghan champions stunned their Down opponents. Kieran Hughes was just as instrumental for the Farney team in their frantic finish, nailing a late mark before winning the crucial free for his goalkeeper. They are the first two names on the GAA JOE Team of the weekend but, on a huge weekend of provincial quarter final action, there were impressive displays all over.

1 Rory Beggan (Scotstown)

Very little needs to be said apart from the fact that, once again, Beggan marked himself out as one of the purest ball-strikers in the game. His diving interception for a late kick-out also showed his bravery.

2 Mikey Butler (O'Loughlin Gaels)

Tasked with picking up Chris Nolan at stages and manage to curb the influence of Mount Leinster Rangers' main attacker. Even got forward for a brilliant, customary point of his own from the sideline.

3 Rory Brennan (Trillick)

A willing runner in attack and a pillar in the Trillick defence, which kept Crossmaglen Rangers at bay at ease.

4 Kevin McGettigan (Naomh Conaill)

His late goal will go down in Naomh Conaill folklore.

5 Donal Morgan (Scotstown)

A cool head in the Scotstown rearguard, who ghosted forward for a brilliant point.

6 Cillian Kiely (Kilcormac-Killoughey)

Delivered a powerhouse display for the Offaly team, scoring three long range points. Dominated the centre all day.

7 Conor Brady (Gowna)

Raided forward for 1-1 and didn't deserve to be on the losing side.

8 Brian Ryan (Na Fianna)

Ryan, the former Limerick All-Ireland winner who transferred into Na Fianna this year, scored 1-3 in an impressive display against Raharney.

9 Richie Donnelly (Trillick)

Kicked two wondrous scores that helped turn the momentum of their game with Crossmaglen Rangers.

10 Brian Hurley (Castlehaven)

Kicked 0-7 (0-3 frees) and was the stand-out player in a tight game with Cratloe.

11 Kieran Hughes (Scotstown)

Big players make big plays and Hughes was at the forefront of Scotstown's blockbuster finish.

12 Ryan Gray (Trillick)

Deservedly named man-of-the-match after kicking two brilliant points. Also won plenty of dirty ball around the middle.

13 Jack Sheridan (Naas)

Scored a tremendous goal that eventually proved the difference between Naas and Camross. https://twitter.com/clubber/status/1724069511601541160

14 James Gorman (Kilcormac-Killoughey)

Worked tremendously well with Adam Screeney, as well as chipping in with 1-3 from play himself.

15 James Garrity (Trillick)

A livewire who caused Crossmaglen Rangers no end of problems, kicking 0-2 from play. Read more:
