The whole country is feeling particularly patriotic today as the Rugby World Cup finally kicks into gear and the footballers head for Poland on the crest of a wave.
By the end of Sunday evening, Joe Schmidt's men could be looking at a quarter final clash with Argentina whilst the Republic could have already booked their place in France for Euro 2016.
But they both depend on results. In some parts of the world, we never lose that every day Irishness and it's a beautiful thing.
