Dublin’s celebrations from Clare win show the passion and joy a coin toss could never satisfy

You work hard, you do battle, you make memories.

You don't flip a coin and hope it lands on the right side. The girls of Dublin celebrated wildly today in Semple Stadium after their 1-11 to 0-12 victory over Clare to reach the All-Ireland quarter final. After both counties originally pulled out of camogie's premier competition when it looked like their fate would be decided by a coin toss, they finally got a bit of justice - slightly, they still have to play a quarter final in two days - and just look what it means. Rather than bunching into a changing room and letting the flip of a coin decide their fate, the women of Clare and the capital gave their all, they fought out a tight battle and, in the end, we had a worthy winner. We had heartbreak and joy. But we had sport in its purest form. As if it should've been any other way. The pictures from the aftermath of the game make it mad to think that anything else was ever considered. Clare lost but they went down fighting. No regrets. And the party started for the sky blue. And didn't look like easing up. What a feeling. Goalscorer, Louise O'Hara (right), proved the difference. You don't get this achievement and these scenes with a coin toss. This is what it's all about. Now, bring on Wexford.
