Dublin boss Ger Brennan was given a red card during his side's Division 1 loss to Galway earlier today.
The incident in question occurred on the stroke of half-time, when, after Galway had a penalty saved, tempers flared and Brennan was seen fighting with a Galway mentor and shoving him to the ground.
Brennan took it on the chin in his post-match interview, and agreed with the referee's decision.
He also added that he maybe should have sent another member of the backroom team to sort out the Galway man.
Brennan said: "Myself and one of the Galway mentors, a small coming together, and silly stuff from us.
"Fergal was correct to show us both a red card.
"Hugh had just made a great save from a penalty, and tempers were high from both sides.
"It's inter-county football, so I'd say there was equal involvement from both sides.
"I'm a manager at the same time, maybe I should have sent in another official to do it.
"Look the Galway mentor he's obviously passionate about his team too, and these things can happen."
