The DCU freshers Gaelic football team defeated the University of Ulster in the All-Ireland semi-final on Monday night, having put the game to bed with a goal that wouldn't have looked out of place in the Camp Nou.
The Glasnevin college put daylight between themselves and their opponents late on with a stunning goal, with three of their players having shown off their considerable soccer skills.
It was Kildare's Ryan Sinkey, a former All-Ireland under-20 champion with the Lilywhites, who finished off the devastating counter-attacking move, much to the delight of the crowd who, rather than calling on the DCU players to 'bend their backs,' were heard encouraging them to 'put it across.'
Don't repeat that one to the traditionalists.
DCU won the Jordanstown fare by 1-11 to 0-9, and will now advance to the final where they'll take on the University of Galway.
The DCU GAA page posted a clip of the goal, asking their college's soccer team if there were 'any matches coming up where extra lads are needed?'
The soccer club responded by saying it 'it only took you 140 years to figure out how to play football properly.
"It looks very good though,we are hoping to get the hang of it ourselves soon enough."
