Date confirmed for Christy Ring final replay as Meath and Antrim return to Croke Park

Meath and Antrim are returning to where it all began.
The Christy Ring Cup finalists will replay their decider after last Saturday's match ended in a controversial one-point victory for Meath, which was eventually overturned when everyone realised referee John O'Brien had miscounted and the match was in fact a draw. You can be sure everyone will be keeping a close eye on the scoreboard when the two teams return to headquarters on Saturday June 25th to decide who will be promoted to next year's Leinster SHC. https://twitter.com/SportsJOE_GAA/status/740499038341058560 The replay was originally fixed for this Saturday evening in Newry, which Meath felt was unfair, "in the interest of player welfare and appropriate preparation". The round of Meath SHC fixtures for this weekend have been cancelled but, with Antrim playing an Ulster SHC semi-final on June 18th, the match was moved out a further week."The Central Competitions Control Committee met this morning to consider a formal request from the Meath County Committee for a postponement of the Christy Ring Cup Final Replay between Meath and Antrim scheduled for this Saturday evening, June 11th," reads the GAA statement. "Given the unique circumstances involved, the C.C.C.C. agreed to postpone the game. It will now take place on Saturday, June 25th in Croke Park at 5pm."Peace in our time. Hallelujah!
