Farewell, friend.

The untimely passing of Aaron Devlin will forever leave a hole in Ballinderry's tight knit community but the GAA family came together this evening and did its very best to give one of its brightest sons a fitting send-off. Ahead of the Donegal and Galway clash, Croke Park paused for a moment to remember the former Derry player's life and they marked his wonderful time on this earth with a touching applause that was felt by Gaels everywhere. For a moment in time, differences and rivalries were put aside as all of the GAA stood shoulder to shoulder and saluted a young man who brought so much joy to the world. They saluted one of us. https://twitter.com/mcgeehanstephen/status/627524498254917632 https://twitter.com/ThomasOg11/status/627526690865061888 https://twitter.com/TrevorSpillane/status/627523965502771201 https://twitter.com/EmmaBrooke96/status/627529651414544384 https://twitter.com/sportsfile/status/627523872577974272 And the Derry minors, who showed tremendous character in coming from behind against Longford to secure a semi final berth, paid tribute to Devlin with black arm bands in his memory. https://twitter.com/ElectricIreland/status/627488075128680448
