You'd have to feel for the Corofin lads especially.

The All-Ireland senior football quarter-final between Corofin and Fulham Irish has been postponed due to heavy overnight snowfall. The game was due to take place in McGovern Park, Ruislip, but the snow-covered pitch left no option but to reschedule the clash. It's obviously an inconvenience for both teams involved, but especially for Corofin. The Galway side flew over to London, presumably on Saturday night before the 1.00 fixture, and they will have to return home without having played their game. The club forked out a fortune of money to travel over to England, and they will probably have to do the same thing again next weekend. What an anti-climax, what a damp squib. One wonders will the GAA fork out for the rescheduled game. It certainly seems like they should.
