In fact, the Carlow senior football team are currently enjoying their best run in the championship in 73 years.
It all kicked off with a win over Wexford. Then they followed up a loss to Dublin (no shame in that) by beating London in a qualifier match.
Their come-from-behind victory against Leitrim in Netwatch Cullen Park on Saturday made it three wins in a single championship. The last time they achieved this feat was during the penultimate year of WWII.

Turlough O'Brien's men found their form in the second half after heading into the break trailing by 0-9 to 0-7. Paul Broderick incredible return of 1-06 helped them to a memorable 2-14 to 0-13 victory over the Connacht side.
As they say, recovery is just as important as training. Lord knows the Carlow team put in a serious shift to earn that victory.
The next stage is to rest up, and as their manager 's tweet on Sunday showed, they didn't have to travel very far to find a decent spot for that.
