Bernard Flynn finds out that Colm O’Rourke gets Meath job over him via social media

"It was disappointing."

Colm O'Rourke is set to replace Andy McEntee as the new Meath senior football manager. The RTE pundit had been on record saying that he was not interested in the job, revealing that he had actually applied for it on three other occasions and was turned down. The ex Meath star even stated that jobs in county management are becoming less appealing due to the abuse thrown at them on social media and other mediums. Another legend of the county however had openly threw his name into the hat - Bernard Flynn was very much interested in the role. Flynn and O'Rourke had once formed a deadly partnership up front for The Royals, and were pivotal in their All-Ireland success under Sean Boylan.
