Finally an end is in sight.

The Galway hurlers could have done with taking a leaf out of Mayo's book in dumping their manager swiftly and getting on with preparing for the new season. Instead, the county's hurlers, who contested this year's All-Ireland final in the first week in September, have seen their heave against Anthony Cunningham drag into November. He doesn't want to go, the Galway county board have tried to bring in a mediator, but that hasn't worked either, and now it seems that everything will decided at a meeting on Monday night. In a statement released late last night, the county board have confirmed that the impasse between players, who have tried more than once to oust Anthony Cunningham in 2015, will be brought to a close. One way or another. The news follows their attempts to bring in an independent mediator to resolve the issues between the players and their manager but, according to the statement, the executive will now have to make the final call. https://twitter.com/TribesmenGAA/status/664710151971057664 It seems the county board and the clubs themselves will now have decide whether to stick with Cunningham and force the players to heel, or else dump the only man since Cyril Farrell to guide the county to two All-Ireland finals. https://twitter.com/Darrenfrehill/status/664714537308962816 https://twitter.com/Taypayshea/status/664724107045531648 https://twitter.com/SportingCork/status/664730248026710017
