The hurling league was always a bit of a 'meh' event due to the way that it was structured, but now with it entering into a tiered system next year, there is everything to play for this season.
Teams want to remain or get promoted to that top table because they know how important it is to be playing in the top flight in order to prepare for the upcoming championship in the summer.
This weekend sees massive powerhouses take each other on like Tipperary vs Galway, Cork vs Kilkenny, Waterford vs Clare, and Limerick vs Westmeath.
