Alan Brogan and Aidan O’Shea are in total agreement about the new ‘mark’ rule

Great minds think alike, but fools seldom differ.

The GAA's biggest problem it has been suggested over the years is the fact that it is too democratic, but as Paul Weller sang, "the public get what the public want." We're not sure that the GAA's playing membership are too happy with the idea that the mark is about to become a feature of their lives very shortly. As we reported earlier, the GAA has taken a leaf out of rugby and the AFL’s rule-book to allow a player call  a mark for any catch outside of his own 45 from a kick-out.
