Kevin McKernan would still have the final whistle of St Mary's dramatic Sigerson Cup victory still ringing in his ears when he felt the vibration of a Twitter notification from Mayo star Aidan O'Shea. McKernan had just played a starring role as Mary's saw out the upset in extra-time, securing a safe path to the semi-final thanks to a 2-14 to 2-13 scoreline over DCU on their own turf.
