A cameo from intercounty manager Kevin Walsh couldn't stop Killannin from losing out to Roscommon side St Croan's in the Connacht intermediate football final yesterday.

https://twitter.com/MaireTNC/status/533969159563255808 Killannin had a very special substitute appearance in the Connacht intermediate final last night. Kevin Walsh, the manager of the Galway senior football team, came on for his club against St Croan's yesterday. What's remarkable is that he is 45-years-old. Unfortunately, Walsh couldn't change the outcome of the game. The Rossies took home the trophy with a 2-10 to 0-11 win over the Tribesmen. The Galway manager also played a role in Killannin's intermediate county championship win earlier this year when they defeated bitter rivals Moycullen 0-13 to 0-10.. It was the first time the club  had ever won a county championship. https://twitter.com/MaireTNC/status/534001310669217792 https://twitter.com/MaireTNC/status/534001672037859329 https://twitter.com/MaireTNC/status/534002902348890113
