Caroline Currid has departed the Limerick management team ahead of the 2024 season.
The sports psychologist has been a part of the Limerick backroom team for each of their last five All-Ireland wins, in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 but will no longer be involved.
The news was confirmed at a Limerick county board meeting on Tuesday night, where the county's all-conquering manager John Kiely was given a one year extension to his tenure.
Having stepped aside for the 2019 season, in the aftermath of their first All-Ireland win, Currid was brought back into the set-up for 2020, with Limerick having lost to Kilkenny in the previous year's All-Ireland semi-final.
The Sligo native has been widely hailed by the Limerick players for her contribution to the team.
"Caroline is like a mother to absolutely everyone on the panel,"
said Aaron Gillane in a GAA Hour interview last year.
"Everyone has great time for her. She gets on with everyone. You can read into psychology whatever way you want.
"You can go all out with it, or you can take it nice and easy and take the bits you want from it. And Caroline deals with you whatever way you want to look at it."

"Relaxing and not thinking too much about things works for me.
"I know some fellas, like Gearoid Hegarty go all out and are big into sports psychology, and that's definitely working for him.
"I try to think not as much about anything. Caroline supports that, and she'll tell me I'm 100% right to do things my way.
"But once you have that approval of someone that you know knows exactly what you're thinking about. That just puts your mind at ease and lets you express yourself."
Currid has previously worked with All-Ireland winning teams in Tyrone (2008), Tipperary (2010) and Dublin (2011) while she also worked with Munster rugby and sportspeople like Paul O'Connell and 800m World Record Holder David Rudisha.
