Indeed Zlatan did little to quell the hysteria around the move during his first official interview for the in-house club channel, MUTV. Amongst the normal platitudes and kind words about his new club and manager, the former PSG man acknowledged the excitement around the deal.
Never one to talk himself down, he claimed the transfer was akin to one of the most widely-anticipated boxing matches of recent times - Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao, a.k.a 'The Fight of the Century'.
"I compare it [the move] with the Mayweather and Pacquiao fight," his Zlatanness explained. "They said it would never happen but it happened."
