Young Irish defender signs professional contract with Southampton

Earlier this week, Dublin youngster Tyreke Wilson signed a professional contract with Manchester City, and now another Irish defender has agreed professional terms with a Premier League club. Aaron O'Driscoll, who came through, like Wilson, at schoolboy side Cherry Orchard, has agreed to sign for Southampton. The 17-year-old from Dublin is a central defender, who can also play in midfield.
