This is absolutely glorious. And very very weird.
Xabi Alonso is renowned around the world for his effortless grace and rare style. He plays the game as if wearing a dinner jacket and a pair of loafers. Which is why it's great seeing a true artisan of the game f**k up just like you and I would. With Bayern Munich 1-0 up against Arsenal, the classy Spaniard sauntered over to take a corner. The Gunners' defenders readied themselves for a pinpoint cross. Except Xabi did something far better - he accidentally kicked the corner flag and backpedalled like a wayward drunk trying to make contact with a pigeon.
