West Ham’s owner slams Carlos Tevez over his wage demands to re-join the club

David Sullivan has hit out at Carlos Tevez's wage demands.

The West Ham United co-owner claimed that the club had negotiated with Tevez about a possible return, but the move fell through over financial demands, despite the player's apparent "love" for the club. Boca Juniors' forward Tevez, who spent a season at West Ham, and went on a scoring run to keep them in the Premier League in 2007, wanted £250,000 a week to join the club. Sullivan wasn't prepared to met his demands, and has questioned the player's "love" for the club. According to Sullivan: "All this business, ‘I love West Ham’, well it's ‘I love West Ham if they give me £250,000 a week.’"
