It means so much more to us when we are young.
Even if you are a massive sports fan who follows your favourite teams all over the world, you likely don't live and die by the results as passionately as you did when you were a little kid.
Everything just seems so much more important then. You don't have many responsibilities in your life, other than being a little kid, so sport becomes critical to your existence.
That is why we can probably all sympathise with this young Man United fan, who is completely devastated with the news that Robin van Persie will join Fenerbahce. Even if you despite the Red Devils, you will feel for this little lad.

Also, how much of an attention-seeker do you have to be as a parent to film your distraught child and upload it online? Even the woman in the video is just feigning concern to illicit more tears from the boy.
Although, are we sure that he isn't crying tears of joy because his team are getting rid of an aging striker?
H/T to Manchester Evening News for the video.
