Mamaev's team FC Krasnodar has called the player's behaviour "outrageous and unacceptable", fined him and demoted him to the youth team, where he'll hopefully keep his alleged fondness for champagne to himself. While Kokorin has claimed the pair have done nothing wrong, telling Russian media: "Somebody was celebrating their birthday and we were simply there. Naturally, everybody saw the bottles and heard the Russian anthem, but why put all this on us?"
