On Wednesday night, the German welcomed his compatriots Hoffenheim to Anfield but they were treated with the same contempt as every visitor is under Klopp's reign. They were treated as rivals.
And, before Liverpool's defensive helped bring a more natural balance - you might call it a logical conclusion - to proceedings, the Merseyside outfit had raced into a 3-0 lead early doors and the manager blood loved it.
