Gary Neville's luck as Valencia coach might be changing, but his club's youth side have every right to feel aggrieved after a horrendous error from the referee cost them their place in the last eight of the UEFA Youth League.
Having drawn 1-1 with Chelsea and missed a late penalty to win the game, Valencia's youngsters lost the penalty shootout despite scoring all five of their penalties.
One of their spot kicks was so well placed, it rebounded off part of the goal frame after it had crossed the line, and rebounded away from goal.
Incredibly, the referee and his officials missed the incident, shown below, and Chelsea went on to win the shoot-out.
