So often did that chat ring out around the Brandywell between 2003 and 2012, proof of the legendary status that Derry City's all time club goalscorer had earned over the years. Farren sadly lost his six-year battle with cancer on Wednesday. The Donegal native passed away at the young age of 33 and his former club have decided to pay tribute by retiring their number 18 jersey, the shirt worn by Farren. https://twitter.com/derrycityfc/status/695009088116277248 Not only that but the club have also revealed that they have decided to hold a minute's applause in the 18th minute of this weekend's friendly game against Ballymena to honour the memory former striker. https://twitter.com/derrycityfc/status/694953316854403072
