There’s no room for Gareth Bale in the Euro 2016 team of the tournament

Come rain or shine, you can always rely on football fans to find something to bicker with one another about.

Whether it's who the next England boss will be or whether Paul Pogba (or any footballer, for that matter) is really worth £100m - they never let you down. With Euro 2016 done and dusted, UEFA's announcement of their team of the tournament was always going to spark some form of debate and sure enough, it has. Four of eventual winners Portugal make the eleven with goalkeeper Rui Patricio joined by Pepe, Raphael Guerreiro and Cristiano Ronaldo. There's also Jerome Boateng, Joshua Kimmich and Toni Kroos from Germany and Dimitri Payet and Antoine Griezmann from France. Unsurprisingly, Wales' incredible run to the semi-final sees two of their men named in the team: Joe Allen and Aaron Ramsey... but not Gareth Bale.
