"The pitch has been in rag order - there's another one for you."
Graeme Souness got a crash course in Irish slang words from Brian Kerr on Wednesday evening.
The pair were pundits on Virgin Media Sports coverage of the Champions League, and Kerr was speaking about the Wembley pitch.
Tottenham Hotspur were hosting Inter Milan at the London venue, where the pitch hasn't been in great condition.
According to Kerr, the Wembley surface has been "absolutely malojan."
Souness, who is from Edinburgh in Scotland, was confused by this word and asked Brian what it meant.

Souness evidently wasn't watching RTE's coverage of the World Cup during the summer, when Kerr's Dublin colloquialisms were out in force for every game he covered.

Kerr: "The pitch has been absolutely malojan, and that hasn't helped."
Souness: "What's it been? What's the word you used?"
Kerr: "Malojan. It means not very good."
Souness: "I like that. I'm going to use that."
Kerr: "It's a word, but it's not Scottish Gaelic word!"
Martin: "You won't hear that on Sky."
Souness: "You will now."
Kerr: "No, the pitch has been in rag order - there's another one for you."
