Non-Irish Sky Sports presenters must curse their luck when an Irish player retires and decides to drop a bit of gaeilge in their farewell statement.
That was the case when, on Thursday evening, Shay Given announced that he had played his last game for the Republic of Ireland.
The 40-year-old called time on a storied career with the national team in the form of a heartfelt statement which concluded with the phrase “Go raibh maith agat."
Now, you know and I know how to pronounce that.
But the same can't be said for this pair of Sky Sports presenters who are years away from even attempting their Irish oral.
Fair play to them for trying though.
