It was nearly the perfect start when he was put through after just entering the fray on 71 minutes, but he produced a poor effort from what was a tight angle.

However, he had plenty of good touches, in attack and defence, and was rewarded when his hold up play and lay-off led to a goal for fellow substitute, Pablo Garcia.
