In demand but still not confirmed for an SSE Airtricity League team.

Reports from several news outlets, this morning, had Shamrock Rovers all but set to confirm Damien Duff as a player by the end of this week. Many clubs are in the hunt for the Republic of Ireland midfielder's services but, as yet, he has not committed. It looked as if Duff would be signing for St Patrick's Athletic when, two weeks ago, he was pictured in Inchicore for a match at Richmond Park. He denied that he would be joining the Super Saints' ranks but remarked that his mother was convinced her son had finally made his decision. Hoops boss Pat Fenlon, however, appears to have knocked back the notion that another Irish international [they already have Keith Fahey and Stephen McPhail] would be signing up. https://twitter.com/CianTracey1/status/618025356734369792 https://twitter.com/DeeCurran1/status/618033461178310656 Duff is currently completing a course to get his UEFA 'B' coaching licence and recuperating from a knee injury that prematurely ended his time with Melbourne City, in Australia.
