The report also adds that Griezmann's arrival could spell the end of Wayne Rooney's time at Old Trafford. The United captain has lost his place in Jose Mourinho's starting XI in recent weeks and it's thought that a move for the Frenchman will be timed to coincide with his departure, with the US and China said to be possible destinations.

Griezmann, 25, finished Euro 2016 with six goals in the summer and was recently received a player of the tournament award before France's match with Bulgaria.
