Wrexham’s players will be given the A-list treatment out in the US

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have decided to reward Wrexham’s players by taking them to Las Vegas to celebrate winning the Vanarama National League. Wrexham returned to the Football League after a 15-year absence and as a reward for their efforts, will head to the Sin City to continue their celebrations. Club board advisor Shaun Harvey confirmed the news after he was asked what the squad’s end of season plans were before their final game of the season against Torquay United last weekend. While this is a chance for the players to relax and unwind following a long, gruelling season, some rules have been set in place to ensure that behaviour remains exemplary at all times. Striker Paul Mullin explained the rules, which focus heavily around the nightlife attractions in one of the US’ most popular cities. “It became a thing where if we won the league, we’d get a holiday,” he revealed.

“So we’re off to Vegas. Ryan and Rob told us to leave our cards at home, they’re sorting the lot. “They sent us a full itinerary just now. Part of me doesn’t want to go, I might be dead by the end of it. But I’d never go to Vegas by me own accord, so I’m buzzing for it.”

Thousands of fans lined the streets of the Welsh town to celebrate the club’s success as the squad paraded the trophy on an open top bus. Reynolds and McElhenney were both in attendance with the parade shown on BBC News however their coverage was criticised after some felt it was over the top and unnecessary.
