Leeds United fans are a bunch desperately in need of some good news.
Their winning run in the Championship was ended by Brighton last night, and despite looking comfortable in mid-table, their ownership situation is just as messy as ever.
Eccentric Italian owner Massimo Cellino is currently banned from running, or indeed ruining Leeds until April, and has said he won't be returning to the club when that suspension ends.
So you can imagine the excitement of Leeds fans everywhere this afternoon when Australian actor Russell Crowe dropped a bit of a hint that he could be buying the club.
Responding to a tweet from a random Leeds fan, Crowe asked his 1.67m followers for some advice on whether or not to bring his wallet to Yorkshire.

Indeed, Crowe has often spoken about his fandom for Leeds on Twitter, and this tweet from way back in 2010 shows he's been following them since the days of Johnny Giles, Big Jack and Billy Bremner, along with Bristol City (yeah, that's confusing us too).

In fairness, if Russell Crowe was to follow a football team, he's probably well suited to the Leeds team of that era.
Crowe is no stranger to sports ownership though, his South Sydney Rabbitohs rugby league side winning their first NRL Grand Final since 1971 last year.
