Real Madrid star Toni Kroos posted a New Year message to his Twitter followers that caused quite a storm among fans of Germany and Brazil:

It got 170,000 retweets as his German fans loved it - and his Brazilian followers felt exactly the opposite. But perhaps he wasn't expecting it to blow up in quite the manner it did. https://twitter.com/ToniKroos/status/815484238472552448 But today Brazil legend (or if you prefer 'Original') Ronaldo hit back with a message of his own: This version - in which he tags Kroos - is a reference to the 2002 World Cup final when Ronaldo and co saw off Germany 2-0 to lift the trophy. So let's call that 1-1 then boys, shall we?
