It seems initiation songs are all the rage amongst professional footballers these days

Be it a move to a new club, or perhaps just a promotion from the youth team, it seems nobody is safe... not even some of the finest players to have ever taken to a football field. Already this summer, we've seen Gianluigi Buffon's performance in front of his new Paris Saint-Germain teammates; now, it's the turn of Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo Ronaldo sealed his switch from Real Madrid a few weeks back (you might've heard) and will make his competitive bow for the Italian champions on Saturday afternoon against Chievo. Ahead of the game in Verona, footage has emerged of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner standing on top of a chair and belting out a song for his new Juve teammates. We're not exactly sure what the song is, but judging by the video below - which appeared on Miralem Pjanic's Instagram Stories - it seemed to go down well with the rest of those gathered in the room. https://twitter.com/RossellaMarrai/status/1030530259769278465 Ronaldo wasn't the only one to be made to sing an initiation song. Leonardo Bonucci - returning to the Turin club after spending a year at AC Milan - also performed, as did former Liverpool midfielder, Emre Can. https://twitter.com/IFTVofficial/status/1030527160740663297 Ronaldo's first competitive appearance for his new club comes a week after he scored his first goal in their colours in a preseason friendly with their B team... cue the 'he always scores against Juventus' jokes. Back in Spain, it's been reported that Ronaldo's former club were considering making a huge offer to try and buy Neymar this summer. Real Madrid president is reportedly 'desperate' to bring in a star signing to replace the Portugal captain at the Bernabeu and willing to part wit €300m to sign the Brazilian.
