He could have been killed.

We can all agree that there's nothing wrong with a good, firm tackle. You know, just to let your opponent know you're there. Ideally though, you should try and win the ball - which isn't what happened here. Facing arguably the world's finest striker in Robert Lewandowski, Switzerland's Fabian Schär nearly kicked the Bayern Munich man into next week. https://twitter.com/Half_A_Goal/status/746709980741537792 https://twitter.com/Boxofficefooty/status/746709792933167104 With many fearing for Lewandowski's life, he did (eventually) get back to his feet. As for Schär, he escaped with a yellow - much to the disbelief of many viewers. https://twitter.com/RBairner/status/746708395982458884 https://twitter.com/GazOUX11GB/status/746709798712913920 https://twitter.com/Ahm3dK/status/746708406602502144 https://twitter.com/MrGaryRaymond/status/746708221633626112 Others disagreed, claiming that a yellow was the right decision from Mark Clattenburg. https://twitter.com/_MartialMagic/status/746708468883722240 https://twitter.com/TheBowMonster/status/746708910732623872 https://twitter.com/Sie_the_donkey/status/746708425514561536 https://twitter.com/rhysforbes2708/status/746708374801223681 Just in case you've not had enough of arguing over things in recent weeks, let us know what you think of the tackle. Was it a red or did the sight of Lewandowski quadruple somersaulting his way through the Saint Etienne air make it look worse than it was? SNAPCHAT
