Robbie Keane’s son proves he’s a star for the future…in the GAA

Robbie Keane may have been famous for his goals, but it looks like his son is more interested in kicking points.

'Little Keano' as Ireland's record goalscorer often refers to him, was playing Gaelic football for his local club team St Sylvester's on Saturday morning, and according to his father, gave an exhibition in point taking raising eight white flags for the Malahide club. Eight-year-old Robert was playing in a Gaelic football blitz for his club side on Saturday when he demonstrated his wand of a left foot. The opposition goalkeeper certainly thought it was a wide-ball anyway, that's for sure. Any man who scores eight points in a game of football deserves credit, and Robert could be one to watch out for in the future. It may be too soon for him to replace Diarmuid Connolly in Dublin's Leinster semi-final clash with Westmeath tomorrow, but give him a few years and Jim Gavin might come calling. The apple didn't fall too far from the tree there.
