Let this be a lesson - never count your chickens. And definitely not on Twitter.

Back in August, Manchester United's Champions League draw was seen as something of a cake walk by many. The reds were joined by Wolfsburg, PSV Eindhoven and CSKA Moscow in Group B. Easy peasy. Former keeper Peter Schmeichel was so confident following the draw, that he decided to tweet a product placement-tastic image of himself enjoy a bottle Carlsberg with the message: 'Probably the best draw for @ManUtd is celebrated with a nice cold @carlsberg    Cheers guys.' https://twitter.com/Pschmeichel1/status/637001931693662208 Oh dear. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Fast-forward a few months and United have been unceremoniously dumped out of the competition, finishing a lowly third in the group behind Wolfsburg and PSV.
