The world's biggest football club have vowed to support refugees fleeing Syria.
As a number of clubs - like Bayern and Celtic - moved to offer their hand to those leaving the war-torn country, Madrid are getting involved with financial aid as well.
Club president, Florentino Perez, confirmed that Real Madrid would help the government accommodate those arriving in Spain with a contribution of €1m.
A statement read:
Faithful to its commitment to charity, the club has taken this decision (to donate €1m) with the aim of supporting men, women and children who have been forced to leave their homes in order to flee from war and death.
Bayern Munich have also pledged €1m to refugee projects in Germany whilst Celtic gave up their proceeds from a charity match against Dunfermline to help with the crisis.
Football clubs are uniting on a human level and we doff our caps to anyone helping in any way.
